Vintage Junk Journal Photos - I Like to Fly

How many times I have been restless.  Now when I am restless there is my art, calming, centering and keeping me young at heart.
Created by upcycling two book covers, covering with tissue papers, inking and staining.  I added fussy cut images from an old book and a Tim Holtz die cut.

Don't you just love these two little imps (under a Tim Holtz Clock die cut) as they don their vintage swim wear on a summer day.

 

This is the entire cover, these top two could be the same little girls, don't you think?  I love that this cover tells a story.

Of all the creations I love the wee little birds the best of all...

Hand Painted Tim Holtz Wallflower Paper used on cover above
Used Acrylic craft paint and a small brush
Once dry I covered them with a natural furniture wax
Great for protection and a bit of a shine to boot.
